I happened to be reading a Readers Digest this month with a special theme of sleep when I came across some interesting facts that struck me a little odd, and made me smile. One of which is found below:
Twelve Tips for A Deeper Sleep
Michelle Crouch, Eric Rumble, Readers Digest, April 2012Any new smell, even one associated with relaxation, like lavender, can make you more alert. I couldn’t help but laugh at this one. It’s a bit of a stretch to assume that all readers and people have spouses. I mean, what if you don’t have one; are you then shit out of luck? Other than that, I think the general idea of sleeping in the clothes of a loved one for comforting smell is quite innocent and cute.
I can recall a time when while abroad a friend of mine let me wear their sweatshirt. I can honestly say that I felt closer to them, simply by being in their clothes and smelling constantly their scent.
